First Summer holiday!

Time for a swim!

Now it's your turn Daddy!

Feeling a bit tired now!

I think I will have this bed!

Nope! Mommy said that I have got to have this bed!

Here are a few picks of Martha on holiday in Devon in her caravan! She loved every minute and enjoyed the sun and sea!

Martha at 6 months

Time sure does fly when you are having fun! Can't believe that we have had for two months! Some days it feels like we have had her forever. She has settled in so well and has even been on holiday to Dartmouth! She loved the beech and enjoyed eating breakfast in the cafe (just like George used to do). We have decided to have her spayed as we do not want to breed from her so took the vets advice to get her done. She has recovered so well from the op and it has been a challenge to keep her calm and quiet! Martha is such a 'busy body' she finds it very difficult to rest! Here are a few pics of Martha over the last couple of weeks!

Huggles and snuggles

When George was around he always used to lie by me when I was in my craft room at my desk. Occasionally he used to jump up and get on my lap (and he was 6 stone!). Martha has started to sleep under the table when I craft and she also tries to jump up and get on my lap. Yesterday we had a few huggles and snuggles which was lovely! Just like old times!

Week 18!

Bless! What a cutie!

Her 'dark side'

Nice whiskers kiddo!

'Martha Mookey' at 18 weeks old! Whiskers are coming along nicely! Going to bed with no fuss! Sleeping in till 6am of a morning and travels well in the car! Small steps but finally getting a bit of peace and tranquility restored around the house! Bless! Although, my hubby has just noticed a few teeth marks in the wooden trolley in the kitchen! Aaaaaaargggghhh! It's all fun and games!

Dog biscuit recipe!

Here is the book that I got my Dog biscuit recipe from
"Cooking For Your Dog" by Ingeborg Pils.

The recipe that I did today was "A Crunchy Cure For Wind"

It is as follows:

Ingredients

90z (250g) gluten-free flour (from health food stores)

1 egg

3 tablespoons of olive oil

4fl oz (125ml) skimmed milk

1 teaspoon each finely chopped mint and parsley

Recipe

Mix the flour, egg, olive oil and milk to make a dough, not too firm, adding a little water or flour if necessary. Finally, mix in the chopped herbs.

Pre heat the oven to 175 degrees c. Cover baking sheet with baking parchment.

Put portions of the dough into an icing bag with a star tip and squeeze out different shapes onto the baking sheet. Bake in a hot oven for 15-20 mins. Turn off the heat and allow the dog biscuits to dry for another hour in the oven.

(I rolled out my dough like you would pastry and then cut out the shapes using cookie cutters)

Martha's munchies!

They look good enough to eat!
What does Martha think?

Mmmmm....not bad!

Thumbs up for Mom's home made biscuits then!!

I bought this fab dog recipe book when George was having his chemo to try and make his food a a more tasty and nutritious. It is a really good book as there are all sorts of recipes for you to try. Obviously, you can't feed them on this food all the time as they need a good balanced diet, but every now and again it is a nice treat for them! Today I made Martha the parsley and mint wheat free biscuits. She has a bit of an allergy to the bought dog biscuits so thought that I would give these a try! She was allowed to sample one! I think she liked it!

A lovely pressie!

I saw this book in a local craft shop when out shopping with my Mom and Sister just before Christmas. I loved it! It looked just like Martha! I put in back on the shelf because I had spent far too much money on pressies and walked away. On Christmas day I had a bag of goodies from my Sister and BIL and to my delight this was one of the surprises! How fantastic! I have only done the first page as I need to get some more pics printed off! I am planning to keep it as a journal of Martha's adventures in her first year!

First snow!

Its been great having a couple of days off from work to spend more time with Martha playing in the snow! She absolutely loves it! She must go out at least 20 times to play in the garden. Here are some photos of her having fun in the snow!
